1. Live audio, video and cry detection
Microphone input is analysed on the baby phone to detect possible crying. Live sound, video and push-to-talk are transmitted between approved devices, directly where possible or through relay infrastructure when necessary. We do not record or store the raw live audio or video on our servers. Short buffers are used to deliver the live session. The app does not diagnose health conditions or identify a child.
2. Information stored to provide the service
We store a random room ID, random parent IDs, hashed authentication tokens, pairing state and phone display names. We also store push notification tokens, notification preferences and language, connection and monitoring state, battery status, sensitivity, recent cry timestamps and durations, and subscription entitlement status. The room history keeps up to the 30 most recent cry records, not audio recordings. These records are associated with the room or app identifiers and are not treated as anonymous merely because they do not contain an email address.
3. Why we use this information
We use this information to pair approved devices, transmit live sessions, send requested notifications, show connection and battery warnings, maintain recent history, prevent unauthorised access and verify Premium access. We do not sell personal information, show third-party advertisements or use the app for advertising tracking. We do not request contacts, precise location or advertising permission.
4. Service providers and purchases
Cloudflare provides hosting, room storage, connection signalling and relay services when required. Apple provides App Store payments and push notifications; push messages may contain room status such as a cry or connection alert. RevenueCat verifies and manages subscriptions using a pseudonymous app user ID, transaction and purchase history, subscription status and technical app/device information. RevenueCat also provides subscription performance analytics. We do not receive your payment card number or Apple Account password. These providers process information under their own privacy terms and applicable service agreements; links are provided below. Information may be processed outside your country.
5. Retention
Room data remains while a room is in use. Closing the room from the baby phone deletes its stored room information and pairing records. An unused paired room is automatically deleted after 60 days of inactivity, and an unpaired room after 2 days; active connections prevent automatic expiry. Pairing codes expire after 10 minutes and pending approvals after 5 minutes. Operational hosting logs and Apple/RevenueCat purchase records follow the respective provider's retention requirements and are not erased by closing a room. Support emails are kept while handling the request and where necessary to meet legal obligations.
6. Your choices and deletion requests
You can stop monitoring, remove a parent, close a room, and revoke microphone, camera, local network or notification permissions in iOS Settings. Removing a parent disconnects that device; closing the room from the baby phone deletes the room for everyone. Removing the app alone does not immediately delete an active room or cancel a subscription. Email ultrest12@gmail.com to request access, correction or deletion of personal information, or to ask about other privacy rights available in your region. We may need to verify that a request relates to your own data. Do not email pairing codes, tokens, passwords or baby recordings. Cancel recurring billing separately through Apple Subscriptions.
7. Security and children
Connections use encrypted transports and access is restricted to approved devices. No online service can promise absolute security. The app is intended for adult parents and caregivers, not for children to create accounts. It does not require a baby's name, birth date or a child profile. Only monitor where you have permission, and keep devices and cables safely out of reach.
